Comments: When we decided to arrange our marriage we could never have imagined such a perfect setting. Stonehame, was breathtaking. Organising it all from UK was a bit of a challenge but from the outset the Jeff and Valerie gave us the confidence it would all go well. Comments: We have been visitors to Stonehame on a number of occasions since our marriage there in September,2001. Each visit outdoes the previous one as soon as we are greeted by the genuinely friendly front office staff. Our most recent visit in early August, 2006, gave us the opportunity to spend several nights in the new "Rock Maple Retreat". These superior rooms offered every amenity needed for a relaxing holiday-for-two, from the comfortable queen size bed to the relaxing jaccuzi tub to the breathtaking view. While Stonehame grows, the serenity remains, which is why we will return soon and often.

Comments: This will be our third stay at the chalets in two years.Last year we took the whole family up for a Thanksgiving weekend and had an absolute great time.This year we booked the chalets for 2 nights this time.We made a pack and every Thanksgiving we are making this a tradition to go here every year.It's so peaceful and relaxing and the kids really enjoy it.Hopefully it won't be raining this year and will be able to walk all the trails and take some beautiful pictures of the leaves changing colors.Thanks and can't wait til October to come back.

Comments: This past weekend my friend and I had the opportunity to stay at one of your chalets at Stonehame. From the moment we walked through the door, the place instilled a sense of calm and tranquility. We both noted the incredible peace in the resort and how well the connection between nature and the facility worked. Having a small dog, my friend was very impressed with the dishes, small towel and leash supplied. These small yet vital amenities were what really set the tone for an excellent overnight stay. No radio, no television and no telephones. We noted by 10 pm that night, that the only thing that could be heard was the tick of the electrical heat as well as the wind blowing up the mountain. What a fine soundtrack for relaxation. We made the trek down the hill for a movie but found ourselves so relaxed by a great meal and a complimentary bottle of wine that just sitting still and soaking the ambience was what worked best. The comfort and relaxation quota is bar none, what you have to offer here is a slice of ingenuity, given the solid construction of the chalets, the relaxing lay out as well as that priceless panoramic view of western Pictou Co. May you have a lucrative season this summer, the new addition looks great. Thanks so much for a most therapeutic experience. There will be return visits!

Comments: Since I was on the site to book a reservation for our 1 year wedding anniversary, I thought I'd add a much deserved testimonial. Tim & I were married at Stonehame on October 1, 2005. It was the most beautiful, amazing and perfect day (and weekend!)...and it would not have been so without the awe-inspiring location and the warm, helpful staff. The staff went out of their way to make our day perfect--they truly are like a family. They were so welcoming to all of our guests and made us all feel relaxed and so at home. We plan to spend all of our anniversaries at Stonehame!

Comments: On October 11,2005 my husband John surprised me with a getaway to the place we were married in 2003. I absolutely cannot say how much I love coming back here. Comments: I love the Stonehame Chalets. It's very cozy and feels just like home. I've stayed there a few times, and I always enjoyed the privacy, and the feeling of being miles away when you're just a half hour from home. Bit I did notice that my dad, Neil MacKenzie, did not get any credit for building them on this website, and I believe that he greatly deserves it.
