Pictou Island Ferry
PICTOU ISLAND CHARTERS is located only a 15 minute drive from Stonehame and offers an authentic Nova Scotia experience for groups looking for just getting out on the ocean for a short trip, a half-day excursion to Pictou Island, or a full day of golfing to PEI and back to Stonehame in the evening... The M/V Cetacean Search has been Transport Canada certified to carry 36 passengers on voyages in the Northumberland Strait. In the waters of the Northumberland Strait lies a small island named Pictou Island. The M/V Cetacean Search leaves Caribou and travels to Pictou island located between Nova Scotia and PEI. Pictou Island is full of beautiful sandy beaches, which the community is commited to preserve for future generations. Anchors Above Zipline Adventures
Anchor’s Above Zipline Adventures, located only 45 minutes from Stonehame, boasts two ziplines. Leaving the parking lot and ticket booth, you will hike to the first platform where trained staff will get you into your safety gear (all provided by AAZA). Once safely equipped you will be hooked to the 1,100 ft awe inspiring monster line 240 ft above the ground that drops nearly six stories to the second line that is 900 ft long and 190ft off the ground. This line drops nearly 10 stories returning you safely to the parking lot/ticket booth where you started. All in all, this adventure packs quite the bang for your buck!!
