General Information About Our Group Services
Our Central Location...Ideal for Regional Meetings
Stonehame Lodge and Chalets is centrally located in Scotsburn, Pictou County, Nova Scotia nestled between three distinct and unique coastlines, the Northumberland Shore with some of the warmest waters north of the Carolinas; the Fundy Shore with the highest tides in the world; and the rugged and majestic Eastern Shore, truly one of Nova Scotia's hidden treasures. We are located 90 minutes from Cape Breton Island, the New Brunswick border and Metro Halifax and only 15 minutes from the Prince Edward Island. Our central location makes Stonehame the perfect destination for groups looking for places to stay close to a diverse offering of products and experiences.
Lodge Group Package
We have had many groups in the past request a meeting or gathering area that they could rent and ‘do their own thing’ while staying at Stonehame. We have listened! Starting in September, we are offering new meeting packages to groups staying at Stonehame that would like the option of using our meeting facilities in the main lodge. The meeting package includes private, keyed access to Stonehame’s main lodge (including the MacKenzie Room with cathedral ceilings and stone fireplace; kitchen with prep area, propane stove, convection oven, microwave and fridge; covered deck off the front with a view as far as the eye can see; lower level with two sitting/breakout rooms; and three private, spacious, rooms for overnight accommodations). If you would rather have someone else other than yourselves do the cooking, we can provide a list of local caterers who are willing to work with you to plan your event. This all-inclusive package costs only $499 plus tax per day and provides you with the freedom to come and go as you please!
The MacKenzie Room
The perfect room for any Nova Scotia business meeting, corporate event, special function, small banquet, wedding reception or group tour.
Our Nova Scotia meeting facilities include cathedral ceilings, large windows and a large stone fireplace. The natural warmth of wood, an over-sized sofa and two large wing-backed chairs with lots of cushions await those who seek an informal approach. Patio doors lead to a large, furnished outdoor deck overlooking the historic landmarks of Pictou County (birthplace of New Scotland), the Northumberland Strait and Prince Edward Island. Experience the inspiring view in any season for any getaway or business occasion.
Introducing our Signature Team Building Events!
Try one of the fastest-growing activities on the planet at Stonehame Lodge and Chalets. Stonehame is now offering an on-site geocaching activity for groups, whether you are here for a family reunion, birthday party, or a corporate get-away. Geocaching, a very popular hobby with people of all ages from all parts of the globe, involves using a GPS (Global Positioning Unit) to locate a 'cache' or treasure. It is an activity that gets you outdoors in the fresh air, provides lots of exercise and loads of fun. Groups of 8 or more people are required (32 people maximum). Cost is $15 plus tax per person and includes rental of the GPS unit for the group (number of units depends on the size of the group), a 20 minute tutorial on the use of the GPS and the Stonehame geocaching exercise including hints and puzzles to find the geocaches hidden on the property.
